Art is a lifelong musician, heavily involved in vocal music in choruses and ensembles from grade school through early college. He's performed lead parts in musicals including Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, and Oklahoma. Art picked up the guitar in high school influenced by the amazing creativity of the 60's and 70's with groups such as the Eagles, The Allman Brothers, and solo performers such as John Denver and Jim Croce. Early exposure to the piano also spurred a love for the keyboard and a fascination with the progressive stylings of groups such as the Moody Blues, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, The Alan Parsons Project, The Who and many others.
Art began writing songs in high school and has dabbled in many different styles but is particularly drawn to music that tells a story, stirs emotions, has depth to its structure, rich harmonies.
